Oh boy, life got hectic and my blog got neglected.  I hope to pretty her back up and maybe even come back with a freebie

OK, I neglect my blog.  I can accept the truth.  However, I did not want you to miss out on some of the great things going on in the digi world right now.  So without further ado……

And I can proudly say that I am a new member of actionfx and I am so completely in love with all the goodies Al has on his site!  Textures, Overlays, styles, tutorials, scripts….and it’s ALL commercial use!!  If you haven’t checked it out you really should.  There are even a few free things so you can get an idea how great his stuff is

Have you ever had a second chance that you never thought you’d get?  I just did.  Now I’m going to start with a small disclaimer…I am fully aware that many of you will groan when you hear what my dream was that came true.  I can’t say I blame you really.  But it was such a “moment” for me!  Or should I say a night FULL of special moments.

OK, are you ready to learn what I did?  I got to see the New Kids On The Block in concert!!!  See, told you many of you would groan!  But here’s the thing…I, like so many other girls my age, was completely and totally in love with this group as a teenager.  However, I didn’t have the type of parents who would take me to a concert.  So I never got to see them when they looked like this …. (and yes, I did totally LMAO at this picture too….feel free)

And here they are today…I must say that the view is much nicer these days actually.  Even Danny Wood, who I had no real interest in as a teen has the most AMAZING body.  No joke!

So when I learned that they were playing about an hour and a half away I programed every possible electronic I had to remind me to order the tickets as soon as the lines opened.  I grabbed 3 good friends who were just as excited as me and the plans were set!!  I even made Tshirts for myself and one of the other girls.  I won’t bore you with every little detail but let’s say that throughout the night I danced, I cried (HEY!, I wasn’t the only one!), I sang and I screamed (so much so that it’s been 2 1/2 days now and I still can’t really talk.  I sound like I have a horrible col but it’s just the aftereffects of all the screaming).  I have gotten most of my hearing back now but I have a sharp pain in the left ear that wasn’t there before *L*, I’m sure it’ll heal with time.  I had the best time I have had in ages, things have been tight for us just like pretty much everyone else I know so this wasn’t easy to afford.  But I am SO grateful that I did something for ME for a change since it’s usually all about my kids.  Man did I need a night out.  For one night I was 13 again and to hell with what anyone thought I was going to have fun and be silly!

I want to show you some pictures but I just have to tell you what the highlight of the night was for me before I do!  Back in the day (shouldn’t I be too young to say that?  Jeez)  I may have loved the band but I was completely infatuated with Jordan Knight.  Man I just loved that whole pretty boy thing back then.  Well, during the concert the guys all came into the audience to sing “Single” and my seats happened to be in just the right spot for me to get right up close to him and even ::gasp:: touch his arm!!  OK, so maybe there was a little pushing to get to the front and maybe I did have to climb up and over a railing to get there *LOL*.  Do you remember when you were young and something exciting happened and you just grabbed your nearest friend and did that whole scream and jump around in a circle thing?  Come on, I know you know what I mean and that you are SO guilty too.  Well, I can honestly say I didn’t think I’d do that as a 30 year old woman but I sure as heck did after that!  I’m telling you I was 13 again!!!  Well maybe not in every way….’cause I sure hope that I wasn’t thinking the same exact thoughts about the guys at 13 that I was at 30…..but anyway…. *L*  Here are some shots of the night!

Here we are outside the Japanese restaurant we ate at. I had never had sushi before and decided there was no better night than last night to try it.

Here is when we actually got to the Performing Arts Center…I think Jess and I were very happy to be there!

And on a complete fluke I managed to get a photo of the moment he reached over to grab my friends hand….I didn’t even know she had gotten as close as I did until after. Of course, she is the gorgeous super thin one on the end in the first picture so who is surprised he reached for her?

My friend got some video that night too so if she sends it to me I may post one or two. There is a hilarious video from when we were up in front of Jordan and some freak was throwing candy to get his attention.

Nothing like spending 6 weeks trying to get your blog up and running and then once it is …. you keep neglecting to blog.  ::sigh::  But the good news is that I’m here now and I have a freebie for you if stick with me until the end

I’ve been pretty busy since I last blogged.  I won’t show you everything in one post so I’ll try to just hit the high points today.  I have released a new kit in each of my stores and I love them both.

At PDW you can find Lynn’s Watermelon Picnic.  My daughter actually helped me out with this kit so it’s extra special.

My life has been so busy and chaotic lately that I haven’t found any time to scrap.  I have barely found time to put a few kits in my stores.  So yesterday, I found myself with a choice between doing the laundry and sitting down and scrapping.  It was a tough decision *L* but I actually did 3 pages!!  And it felt goooooood!

The first one I had started on Earth Day but never finished until now, sad huh?  Told you I’m short on time.  I get a kick out of my sister’s frogs.  One day she was wearing her ESF shirt and one of the red-eyed tree frogs happened to jump right onto the word green….since I’m easily amused I snapped a picture

Then I dug into my stash of “things I’ve been dying to scrap with for forever!” and found Studio Ziska’s Forest Friends.  How adorable is this kit???

It took almost 2 months to get this blog running correctly but I think I’m finally there!!  I am excited to get back to blogging and letting my friends know what’s going on in and around my world.
