It’s become increasingly obvious that my life is too chaotic for all that I am trying to do. I have a few special CT’s that I am on, and two stores, and trying to balance all of that with real life has become such a burden that I dreaded opening the laptop because I never knew who should get my attention first. So I finally made the decision to move on from Sunshine Studio Scraps. As of July 1st you will be able to find my designs only at Plain Digital Wrapper. It was a very hard decision. The wonderful people at SUN have taught me so much and been so good to me. I just needed to focus my attention on one place. I hope to see you at PDW :D

In order to fancy the place up a bit Sunshine Studio Scraps will be closed for a few days while it is redesigned.  Our forums will still be up for most of the time so please feel free to pop in and still say hi.

Now for the good news, and it comes in 2 parts.

First, when we reopen on June 1st it will be our birthday!  That’s right, SUN has now been around for 2 years!  And to celebrate we have lots of fun challenges and fun for you.  So make sure you come back and see us on June 1st.

And the second part, as many of you probably already knew is that we are doing a daily blog train to thank you for your patience while we redecorate.

Oh boy, life got hectic and my blog got neglected.  I hope to pretty her back up and maybe even come back with a freebie

OK, I neglect my blog.  I can accept the truth.  However, I did not want you to miss out on some of the great things going on in the digi world right now.  So without further ado……

And I can proudly say that I am a new member of actionfx and I am so completely in love with all the goodies Al has on his site!  Textures, Overlays, styles, tutorials, scripts….and it’s ALL commercial use!!  If you haven’t checked it out you really should.  There are even a few free things so you can get an idea how great his stuff is

Have you ever had a second chance that you never thought you’d get?  I just did.  Now I’m going to start with a small disclaimer…I am fully aware that many of you will groan when you hear what my dream was that came true.  I can’t say I blame you really.  But it was such a “moment” for me!  Or should I say a night FULL of special moments.

OK, are you ready to learn what I did?  I got to see the New Kids On The Block in concert!!!  See, told you many of you would groan!  But here’s the thing…I, like so many other girls my age, was completely and totally in love with this group as a teenager.  However, I didn’t have the type of parents who would take me to a concert.  So I never got to see them when they looked like this …. (and yes, I did totally LMAO at this picture too….feel free)

And here they are today…I must say that the view is much nicer these days actually.  Even Danny Wood, who I had no real interest in as a teen has the most AMAZING body.  No joke!

So when I learned that they were playing about an hour and a half away I programed every possible electronic I had to remind me to order the tickets as soon as the lines opened.  I grabbed 3 good friends who were just as excited as me and the plans were set!!  I even made Tshirts for myself and one of the other girls.  I won’t bore you with every little detail but let’s say that throughout the night I danced, I cried (HEY!, I wasn’t the only one!), I sang and I screamed (so much so that it’s been 2 1/2 days now and I still can’t really talk.  I sound like I have a horrible col but it’s just the aftereffects of all the screaming).  I have gotten most of my hearing back now but I have a sharp pain in the left ear that wasn’t there before *L*, I’m sure it’ll heal with time.  I had the best time I have had in ages, things have been tight for us just like pretty much everyone else I know so this wasn’t easy to afford.  But I am SO grateful that I did something for ME for a change since it’s usually all about my kids.  Man did I need a night out.  For one night I was 13 again and to hell with what anyone thought I was going to have fun and be silly!

I want to show you some pictures but I just have to tell you what the highlight of the night was for me before I do!  Back in the day (shouldn’t I be too young to say that?  Jeez)  I may have loved the band but I was completely infatuated with Jordan Knight.  Man I just loved that whole pretty boy thing back then.  Well, during the concert the guys all came into the audience to sing “Single” and my seats happened to be in just the right spot for me to get right up close to him and even ::gasp:: touch his arm!!  OK, so maybe there was a little pushing to get to the front and maybe I did have to climb up and over a railing to get there *LOL*.  Do you remember when you were young and something exciting happened and you just grabbed your nearest friend and did that whole scream and jump around in a circle thing?  Come on, I know you know what I mean and that you are SO guilty too.  Well, I can honestly say I didn’t think I’d do that as a 30 year old woman but I sure as heck did after that!  I’m telling you I was 13 again!!!  Well maybe not in every way….’cause I sure hope that I wasn’t thinking the same exact thoughts about the guys at 13 that I was at 30…..but anyway…. *L*  Here are some shots of the night!

Here we are outside the Japanese restaurant we ate at. I had never had sushi before and decided there was no better night than last night to try it.

Here is when we actually got to the Performing Arts Center…I think Jess and I were very happy to be there!

I emailed our picture to them from my iPhone and Jess and I were up on the billboard…

And on a complete fluke I managed to get a photo of the moment he reached over to grab my friends hand….I didn’t even know she had gotten as close as I did until after. Of course, she is the gorgeous super thin one on the end in the first picture so who is surprised he reached for her?

My friend got some video that night too so if she sends it to me I may post one or two. There is a hilarious video from when we were up in front of Jordan and some freak was throwing candy to get his attention.

I’m back to tell you about my new kit at SUN.  I just love the bold colors in this one and I really had fun making it.
